Abstract:

In the fragment published dissertation of V. M. Scheglov reflected the process of the work of Mussorgsky on a plan to "Khovanshchina". Discusses the correspondence of the composer with the famous music critic Vladimir Stasov. Consecrated the debate between Musorgsky and Stasov. Clearly shows the aging own view composer on the plan of the Opera, the awareness of a whole national musical drama. The result was the main idea: Russia´s fate is the fate of the people. This idea became the key to the unity and the real strength of the drama "Khovanshchina".
